Being remotely located, entertainment and socialization for these children is severely limited. The center, therefore, is a suitable place for the children to gather (at least once a month) to socialize play board games, and watch movies. Board games such as BINGO, Monopoly, Scrabble, UNO, Jenga, etc., will help children develop and apply camaraderie, critical thinking, life, and social skills that are needed in family, academic, and career environments. Students who have participated in such programs exhibit more engagement at home, in school, in their friendships, and have built-in resilience.
