Offering a unique opportunity for you to take your family on an incredible adventure back to Vietnam – sharing the experience with other adoptive families and those interested in having an adventure of a lifetime.
TOUR 2020 (15 days – 14 nites)
Come and join us once again for the Motherland Tour. It is a trip of a lifetime – the tour includes visiting several orphanages (depending on where our travelers are from), children’s centers and seeing the best of Vietnam along the way. We will visit sites from South to North all the way to Mai Chau on the China border and Ha Long Bay.
Day 1 (11 Jul 2020): Ho Chi Minh City
Arrive at Tan Son Nhat Airport, check-in to hotel
You will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Activities will depend on time of arrival. For those arriving early, a guided walking tour of downtown Saigon.

Day 2 (12 Jul 2020) : Full day Ho Chi Minh City
Morning : Reunification Palace & Post office
Reunification Palace : Reunification Palace was the base of Vietnamese General Ngo Dinh Diem until his death in 1963. In 1975, a tank belonging to the North Vietnamese Army crashed through its main gate, ending the Vietnam War. The palace is like a time capsule frozen in 1975. You can see two of the original tanks used in the capture of the palace parked in the grounds. Reunification Palace was the home and workplace of the French Governor of Cochin-China. It has lush gardens, secret rooms, antique furniture, and a command bunker. It’s still in use to host important occasions in Ho Chi Minh, including APEC summits
Afternoon: China Town with Binh Tay market & Thien Hau Temple
Ba Thien Hau temple was built in 1760 to honour Mazu the ‘Lady of the Sea’ and when you enter through the iron gate, you will see massive stone incense burners in front of the entrance of Mazu’s altar. The exterior is beautifully designed with the traditional curvy roof on which small porcelain figures are standing symbol for themes from Chinese religion and legends. The interior has colourful dioramas decorating the roof by representing scenes from the nineteenth century in a Chinese city. Besides this, the most prominent visible interior design items are the three statues of the ‘Lady of the Sea’ that dominate the main altar.
Evening : Enjoy A O Show or The Dah Show
A O Show which translates phonetically as the Ahhh! Ohhh! Show, is the first performance using contemporary cirque approach in Vietnam. It depicts the charming beauty that Vietnam is known for, the richness of its culture through its eventual and inevitable urbanization. Day 3 (13 Jul 2020) : Ben Tre – Mekong Delta trip
Morning: Drive to Ben Tre for the “Thomas Martin bike Ceremony” – depend on village.
Enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields.
Afternoon : visit VinhTrang pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view the stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise islet, have lunch in the orchard garden.
Southern work songs, scenic and lighting design make the A O Show, which is performed at 116 year-old historic, Saigon Opera House, worth seeing when you visit Ho Chi Minh City.

After lunch, enjoying Vietnamese traditional music (Đàn Ca Tài Tử – A folk art form from Southern Vietnam accredited by UNESCO in 2013 as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity) at the same time. Then a boat ride to An Khanh – a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre, enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shadow of the water coconut trees along natural canals, then enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music”, performed by locals.
Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste the delicious coconut candy & observe the pastoral life as you roam through the fruit plantation and village. Meet the bus and return to HCMC. This trip provides a fascinating insight into daily life in the Mekong Delta.

Day 4 (14 Jul 2020): Hochiminh city – Nha Trang
Morning : Visit Tam Binh Orphanage in Thu Duc
Afternoon: free time for shopping
Evening: Take midnight train to Nhatrang/ sleep on tra
Day 5 (15 Jul 2020): Nhatrang Beach & Island Tour
SAN BEACH & MUN ISLAND (Coral Island)
Boat trip to visit islands: Situated in the southern part of Nha Trang Bay in Khanh Hoa Province, Mun Island has many coral, which is great for diving. Below the depth of 5 metres the coral is a spectacular sight.
Besides, you can enjoy the water sports: water motor, parachute, banana float, diving, sea walker, and kayaking… Enjoy the floating bar “Happy hour”.
Visit Nha Trang Night Market. It has more than 100 booths selling souvenirs, fashion and marine products, most of which are still stalls of handicrafts originating from villages in the South Central. The night market is also the culinary convergence of Nha Trang in particular and Vietnam in general with a lot of the stalls, delicious dishes.

Day 6 (16 Jul 2020): I Resort Hot Mineral Spring – Cam Ranh
Morning : Visit Aid for Kids Education Center in Cam Ranh. Do distribution of “Thomas Martin bikes”
Afternoon : I – resort hot mineral springs, where you can relax with a luxury mud bath, hot mineral and contemplate life in both traditional and modern architecture, a meditation space interspersed with nature characterized by rural Vietnamese village. Warm mineral water from the shower at the end of the changing room will get you ready for the next stage …then go to the mudbath area. Leaving mudbath area, go to the mineral swimming pool. Furthermore, there is a waterfall system and bamboo tips to help relax the body. Other services are massages, steam baths, are available for guests. The material is created from the essences of flowers, fruits, flowers, rocks, salt, shells and herbs, all combine to help improve your health.

Day 7 (17 Jul 2020): Da Nang – Hoi An
Morning : Fly to Da Nang, Pick up and transfer to Hoi An. – Go to visit Hai Chau Hospital where many of the adoptees were born. Then visit Ba Na and visit Golden Bridge, also called the “Hands of God” Bridge
Hoi An – An old town on the banks of Hoai River, was once a busy port called Faifo. Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese are living together, busy trading day and night. There are still many old houses in Hoi An, which show the typical architecture of these three ethnic groups. In 1999, UNESCO formally recognizes Hoi An as a World Heritage Site.
Places to visit: Cau Pagoda (Chùa Cầu), Tan Ky Old House, Phuc Kien Chinese Assembly Hall, Phuc Kien Chinese Assembly Hall, Quang Dong Chinese Assembly Hall…

Day 8 (18 Jul 2020): Cooking class – Round boat trip
Cam Thanh Eco village.: Located 5km from Hoi An’s Old Town, Visit Cam Thanh Village by round boat, it is a village of 30 ha nipa palm forest. Once a local shelter for people in war times, the village now is a favorite destination for Hoi An’s visitors. Its state of agriculture, fishing and making handicrafts provides plenty opportunities to see Vietnam in an authentic way.
The cooking class is suitable for both experienced cooks wanting to learn new techniques or amateur chefs who simply want a fun day out. The tourists can learn how to cook Vietnamese cuisines in the best way.
Activities: visit the local cemetery and historical and cultural relics, explore the coconut forest by a bamboo basket boat, catch fishes, try to row the unique boat, enjoy Vietnamese cuisines…

Day 9 (19 Jul 2020) : Ha Noi – Hoa Binh Orphanage
Early Morning: Fly from Da Nang airport to Noi Bai airport, go to Hoa Binh province and visit Hoa Binh Orphanage, visit birth family if possible.
Hoa Binh is a mountainous province in the north-west of the country, bordering Hanoi with a natural area of 4,662.53 km2, comprising 10 districts and 1 city, with many residents of different ethnic groups living together. After being re-established (October 1991), Hoa Binh became a gateway for exchanges between the Northwestern provinces, the Red River delta and the economic growth triangle of Hanoi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh. Road and river traffic networks. In addition to its favorable location for socio-economic development, Hoa Binh also plays an important role in the defense strategy of the region and the country.
Coach trip to Mai Châu, homestay stilt houses or bungalow
Day 10 (20 Jul 2020): Mai Chau
Mai Châu: Mai Chau villages and farms representing an older way of life in Vietnam. Take a bicycle ride with a guide, seeing farmers working in fields, locals weaving scarves, and other sights in the peaceful villages.
In the afternoon Spend a few hours shopping or relaxing before dinner— an outdoor BBQ party featuring a Thai folk dance and drink ruou can(traditional wine).
Overnight in Mai Chau.
Day 11 (21 Jul 2020): Mai Chau – Ha Noi
Morning : Back to Ha Noi Capital
Afternoon : Free time to go around Hanoi – shopping
Overnight in Hanoi : 3 star hotel.
Day 12 (22 Jul 2020): Ha Long Bay – CRUISING
Morning: Coach to Ha Long Bay (about 4 hours).
Ha Long Bay is a unique heritage because this place contains important vestiges in the process of forming and developing the earth’s history, which is the residence of the ancient Vietnamese people and at the same time it is the great visual art of nature with the presence of thousands of islands of various shapes, with many interesting caves clustered into a lively and mysterious world. In addition, Ha Long Bay is a place where high biodiversity is concentrated with typical ecosystem and thousands of species of plants and animals extremely rich and diverse. It is also associated with the cultural values – the heroic history of the nation.

Day 13 (23 Jul 2020): Ha Long Bay – Sung Sot Cave – Ha Noi
Sung Sot Cave is located in the central part of Ha Long Bay World Heritage Site. This is one of the largest and most beautiful caves of Ha Long Bay and this is also the place where many unique stone islands are located. The road to Sung Sot cave under the foliage of the forest, visitors not only get the fun as mountain climbers, but also feel like going to heaven.
Enjoy Water Puppet Show – Traditional content of water puppet performance like daily life of Vietnamese farmers, communal entertainment with modest performance way have appealed audiences for centuries. The tourists can enjoy water puppet shows and discovery the beauty of this unique Vietnam traditional art.

Day 14 (24 Jul 2020) : Hanoi cyclo tour
Morning : One hour Hanoi cyclo tour: Ngoc Son temple
(Hoan Kiem lake), Hanoi Old Quarter, Dong Xuan market
(biggest market in Hanoi). Free afternoon.
Relax by the pool, walking tour, last minute shopping.
Overnight in Ha Noi : 3 star hotel
(Some may leave for airport for night flight – Car pick up and transfer to Noi Bai Airport).
Day 15 (29 Jul 2020): Airport transfer
If you stay over– Check out of hotel. Leave the luggage at receptionist till departure
Car pick up and transfer to Noi Bai Airport.
End of Tour – Memories will last a lifetime.
